This is one of my favorite photos so far. I love this old woman.
I don't know who this woman was as there was no name written on the back. The back of the photo, which I didn't include in the Instagram post, shows the photographer was H. Hesselbach in Bamberg, Germany. I haven't done any research to learn more about the photographer, but here is a little info about Bamberg from Wikipedia:
Bamberg is a town in Upper Franconia, (Germany), on the river Regnitz close to its confluence with the river Main. A large part of the town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.
Welcome to Forsaken Photos!
I love antique shopping and finding old photos. It amazes me how many old photos are abandoned and forgotten. Each of these people lived their lives with family, friends, and coworkers, but by the time they ended up in antique stores they were forsaken.
I want to reintroduce their faces and lives back into the world. Most photos I find do not have any names or dates on them, but when I do find one with identifying information I snag it and begin researching to find out who they were, where they lived, and hopefully find living family members that I can return their photos to.
Below is my first photo of this collection. He is now the mascot of Forsaken Photos. I do not know who he is. I do not know when or where the photo was taken, but he is very handsome and has incredible hair!
